We were learning about gardening.

I found it easy to put the plant in the ground.

I found it hard to dig in the dirt.

I really enjoyed planting.

Next time I need to practice.

 In the weekend

On Saturday morning I drove to Keri keri with my mum .For breakfast  we had Mcdonalds. I had a big mac My mum had a boss burger after our kai we walked to my cousin's house . my mum said stay here ok  I am just going shopping me and my cousin played tag  I was in  I tagged my cuzzy . My mum came back and brought some lollies and later on we  walked to the park. I hopped on the slide. We only stayed for 3 hour it got late so we ran back home. For dinner we had roasted chicken’mash potatoes.me my

Cuzzy said man it looks like a  feast after dinner we all fastly went back kaikohe drove back home.I told my mum I had an awesome day but I fell asleep in the car.

 

Recount Writing- Gardening

 Gardening

On Saturday morning me, my brothers and my mum, went to our backyard to work in our garden.  We had to weed it and then dig it up before we could plant our seeds.

I planted the tomato seeds. My mum planted the banana seeds. My two brothers watered the seeds and then they squirted the water at me. I laughed, it felt amazing.  After 30 minutes we laid on the grass and looked up at the sky.

We were all exhausted.

Next we had lunch. We had fruit and banana cake.  It was 

tasted yummy

After that we played hide and seek. I got found first.  I didn’t mind.  I liked watching Mum look for my brothers.  They can hide really well.

Then my mum said, “Lets go inside  and watch a movie.”

We watched Frozen 2.  That’s my favourite movie.

Next Mum said, ``Let's ring your dad to see if he’s safe.”

So we rang my Dad. I asked him “How is your day?  Is it good?”  Dad said, “Yes, my day is good.  I’ll be home early today so I’ll see you early.” 

When my dad arrived we had dinner. 

We had sausages and vegetables for dinner. It was tasty.

I was happy to see my dad.

My Recount Writing - Going Hunting

 Going Hunting

On Saturday me and my brothers and my dad went in the bush in Matawaia.    

Dad said to me, “Please get my gun and my bullets. We’re off hunting.” I felt excited

Then we got in the truck and drove half an hour to Matawaia. We did 6 drifts on the way. The truck was sliding all over the road. I told my dad your truck is slippery. 

After our drifties we drove through a paddock and up to a big bush. We saw 5 pigs and 3 bunnies, 2 peacocks  and 2 hedgehogs. 

Dad wanted to catch the pigs. So he got out of  the truck and got his gun and bullets.  He had to chase after the pigs into the bush. When he got near the pigs he shot them. I got frightened because I heard a big bang.  My ears were ringing. We loaded the pig onto the truck and we went to   Kawakawa to have a feed of fish and chips. They were yummy. After that we went back home to Matawaia.  Dad was chopping off the pigs feet and head . He buried them in the bush. He also shaved off the pigs bristle and skinned it. When the meat was chopped up he put it in bags in the freezer. It smelt stinky but it was a good day. At the end I was really tired.
